Too many purses...

I have about 10 purses. And this is after giving away, and donating several. If I could afford more I would buy one. Well, I mean you really need different ones to match different outfits and different moods. My husband doesn't understand it... I blame my obsession with purses on my Libra moon. Any other Libra moon women have similar fashion issues? I have a theory I am developing on the influence of moon signs...

I am a scorpio with a taurus moon. however, i have a libra rising, libra mars, and libra venus.

I like this guy who has a cancer sun and a libra moon. venus in taurus, mars in cancer.

basically he likes to play around. he doesnt want a commitment.
i am not like that at all. i need security and honest communication. i get jealous and clingly- thats just how it is. and i have told him that i dont want to just mess around, that i prefer meaningful relationships. i have blown up at him a few times out of frustration. i told him to loose my number and to never talk to me again. but he has. i will say that emotionally there is something there, i just am completely consfused by him.
what would our combination be like from your perspective?

I bond with people rather easily, but with Libra suns, i can't seem to get through. my Mom is a libra sun, and we get along very well, but we can spend hours talking, and I just leave with no feeling of real connection. I have that with other Libra suns, too. We just don't grow together. I like Libras, respect them, but there is this wall between us. is this familiar? is it me?

I feel LOTS of empathy, but I feel little trust. Is this my cancer rising or Libra moon?

have y'all had similar experiences with Libra suns?

Women and moon signs

I met a man and he told me that women are rules by their moon signs more then their sun signs. And that men are ruled by their sun signs.

Anyone see any truth to this?

It does make me understand why a friend (male) with the same birthday would say to me....."boy you're a strange leo" :)

Moon In Libra

Curious to hear what you all consider to be your own personal emotional traits? I am currently dating an Aries Sun with a Libra moon. He is quite the needy and dependant type but if I tried to tell him that he would deny it 100%

I very much dig the whole partnership aspect of dating a Libra Moon. There is a real notion of doing everything in two's and everything feels quite shared and experienced as a whole. It's a dynamic i've only once before experienced and that was with a Libra sun although that relationship was nowhere near as harmonious and there was a real communication breakdown on his part, nothing like my current Libra moon who likes to discuss everything out in the open and makes a real attempt at keeping the peace at all times.

There is many qualities I find about Libra Moons that are quite beautiful and endearing except the whole indecisive thing. :P

MOON IN LIBRA

A natural ability to understand and interact with people makes the Libra Moon the zodiac’s court ambassador and emissary. Libra is the seventh house in the zodiac and is ruled by the good natured planet Venus, both of which symbolize relationships, partnerships, and social dealings. Libran Moons have a sweet, affable nature that makes them immediately likeable and attractive to others. They are known for their intuitive ability to help bring balance and harmony and often display a calming, steadying influence, even in difficult circumstances. Libra is, in a sense, the falcrum of the zodiac, the middle point that symbolizes a stage of development in consciousness away from the individual self towards an outward-looking world view that recognizes the essential need to create harmonious relationships. Libra symbolizes our ability to transcend personal needs and interest for a higher cause, the greater good, the sublime. They know somehow that life means growth through commitment and discipline.

THE PEOPLE PLEASER

Libra is the second Air sign of the zodiac, Gemini being the first. This imbues the Libra spirit with a light, changeable, open and involved in nature. The essential being of a Libra Moon is focused on people. They tend to think of themselves with reference to how others view them. This is important to remember when you are in a relationship with them, as they seek their own validation by what you say, or don’t say. They are very aware of others’ opinions, and this is a strength and a weakness – a weakness when others’ opinions limit their own progress and cause them to doubt themselves. Whether positive or negative, their growth and development occur through their relationships with people.

Libra Moons are ruled by Venus, which gives them a love of fine objects and life’s little pleasures. They often have good taste and a touch of extravagance. They are creative and often artistic, good examples being Marcel Duchamp and Edouard Manet. Because Venus is the planet of sensuality and creativity, the Libra Moon can also be imaginative. This is especially prominent in their childhood and helps them develop a rich inner world of fantasy and creativity. Sometimes, it makes the Libra Moon a good storyteller.

In any case, Libra Moons tend to be very sociable and involved with those around them. They are good at creating a pleasant atmosphere in which people can congregate. They like to be happy and cheerful, and are optimistic, encouraging and upbeat when it comes to dealing with others, even when their own moods are less positive. In general, they can be quite spontaneous, especially with their sense of humor. In this they can be a bit theatrical and spice up any gathering. When you are down in the dumps, the Libra Moon will be ready and waiting with a kind word and plenty of good advice.

They also have a canny way of reading people, and are often quite accurate with first impressions, although it is true that this can color the way they relate to someone from then on. It’s a good idea if they can learn to give people the time and space to confirm what they have intuitively gleaned about them – just for that rare case when they are wrong.

The people-centric nature of Libra means that, like it or not, they are often surrounded by people. For the most part they do like it, and have a way of putting people at ease. The more expressive Libra Moons are known for being glue at parties. They can be great net workers, linking the right people with the right opportunities and causes. It’s not uncommon to find Libra Moons involved in politics or social activism, for example US Presidents Jimmy Carter and Dwight Eisenhower, South Africa’s Nelson Mandela and France’s Francois Mitterrand.

The tendency to political involvement comes from the inbuilt social radar of the Libra Moon and their ability to read the mood of the larger public, often in advance. They can excel at marketing and PR due to their knack of presenting an issue so as to get the most attention. They are also good at journalism, due to their ability to understand opposing views.

The more skilled of the Libra Moons demonstrate a further ability to reconcile opposing views by bringing people together and facilitating discussion. Libras can often broker constructive negotiation and are known for the mediation skills. The best of these will, at the same time, know when and how to conclude an agreement or precipitate settlements with the right touch of force. This is not very easy for most Libra Moons, as it runs counter to their nature. Those who can do it have probably learned the hard way that the Latin root of decision is decidere, meaning ‘to cut or sever’. Making choices means letting options go, and the constitution of the Libra Moon is not to let go, but to incorporate. The Libra Moon’s nature is about facilitating the involvement and participation of others, of not denying anything. In a sense the Libra Moon is the place where yin meets yang, mingling them together in a happy coexistence – or at least as happy as they can get.

THE RELUCTANT JUDGE

The symbol of Libra is the scales but the Moon in Libra does not automatically imply that the person has achieved some balance. On the contrary, it is more certain that they will struggle with or be striving for it in everything they do. Getting the perfect balance in anything is challenging, maybe impossible. It’s rare when the green grocer weighs your vegetables that scales stop at an inert equilibrium. It is more likely that they continue to bob slightly up and down and the grocer is content to give a little or get a little more. Libra Moons can learn a lot from this simple analogy by agreeing to lose or gain, now and then, in order to keep the wheels of life turning.

Libra Moons and their partners will recognize the inability to make choices, the fretting to and fro as they move in their minds eye from one perfect view to another and therefore being unable to say one, ‘Sorry, you are not good enough.’

At one end of the Libran spectrum this can create inertia, which is all more troublesome and frustrating for an Air sign that likes to have a sense of movement and progress. When the Libra Moon gets stuck, their inner turmoil is clear to see. And walking them through an analysis of the problem doesn’t always work; as you simply end up retracing the steps they have already taken – frustrating in itself. The best way to help them is to emphasize the need for decision and reassure them that most of the time we can recover, even from bad decisions. Nothing is permanent. A Libra Moon has a way of seeing a decision as though it’s a solidification of their thoughts, a congealing of ideas into an irreversible condition that is as weighty as stone. Their inner fear is then that the will have to live with their mistake forever. If Gemini Moon wants to do two things at once, Libra Moon has a hard time deciding which to do first – or at all. With practice, however, and age, they can reduce their indecision and thus also improve their sense of timing, which can be affected by their vacillation.

Surprisingly, this applies not just to the big things in life, but also to the little ones, whether it’s choosing where to go on a holiday or what to have for lunch. When you encounter this Libra trait – and you will – be patient if you can, encourage a decision and be ready to make one yourself without pulling the rug out from under them. Remember that the Libra Moon is about partnerships and they feel quite bad if they are holding up the show or if you decide to move on without their input – or without them.

The issue of choice is an extension of something graver. And that is judgment. It’s not by chance that the figure of blind justice has scales in one hand and a sword in the other. Libra Moons often have a love-hate relationship with making judgments. On the one hand, they hate them because they seem final, cutting, harsh, and impersonal. They love to keep their options open, are ruled by sweet Venus and like things to be nice, and are very personal in their orientation. Everything about judgment runs counter to a large and important part of their character. On the hand, the sing of Libra is about judgment. It’s the fulcrum of the zodiac because it represents the growth that comes from dealing with life’s limits and restraints. Saturn, the planet of karma and discipline, is ‘exalted’, or in the strongest place he can be, in Libra. Yet there is something in the back of the Libra Moon mind that says that judgment implies obligation and karmic involvement – and that itself is a somewhat frightening concept to them. ‘What if the sword is pointed at me?’ is a fear lurking in the deeper recesses of their mind.

Nevertheless, Libra Moons often find themselves in the role of judge and they can be very good at it, once they embrace the cold facts. Their ability to see two sides of the picture and desire to find a balance can make them benevolent and understanding. Depending on the rest of the chart and their life experience, they can also be stern in their assessment of others. To some, they can appear somewhat unforgiving. Libra Moons have a sense of natural justice, an inner knowing that ‘what comes around goes around’. To them, it’s just a matter of time before someone gets their just deserts, even if it’s another time, place or lifetime. This is a display of the deeper esoteric inclinations of Libra, which can take some getting used to if you haven’t learned life’s harsher lessons.

On a less serious note, this also gives them well-formed, strong opinions that they are ready to share. It will sometimes be easier for the Libra Moon to express opinions about ideas and events than about individuals. They love a good debate and like to become better informed about an idea by arguing their point of view. While it may seem that they are stuck in their way of thinking, in fact, they are gathering new information as they go and you won’t be surprised to find later that your discussion did indeed have an effect.

THE EASY-GOING IDLER

Libra Moons are mostly considerate and benevolent, but don’t be surprised if they don’t know how popular they really are. The periodic self-doubt mentioned above can sometimes limit their sense of importance in the greater scheme of things. In fact, they often play a pivotal role – if you doubt it, just ask those around them – and enjoy extending a helping hand to others, even those who have been kind or respectful to them in the past. While this is a laudable trait, they need to strike a balance, however, as they are often taken for granted. Their ability to empathize gives them a soft heart, but in tending to others’ interests, they can forget their own basic needs. The Libra Moon has a tendency to live through those around them, including their close relationships, where their own sense of value comes from the feedback and validation they get from their partners. The Libra Moon has to be conscious of this and work willfully to avoid it happening.

It’s not uncommon, however, to see the Libra Moon’s indecision, subordination of self-interest or generally easy-going nature result in a lack of motivation and ambition. All the pondering over which goal to go for may just result in the decision that it’s easier to remain idle, just where they are now, going with the flow and drifting to that sometime day when a decision will be made, probably for them. This is a real pity and represents a great limit to the Libra Moon. It is a trait that they will need to consciously work against. Their lethargy also leaves them open to be influenced by the needs of other people, especially their tendency to put others first.

To encounter this, it is a good idea if Libra Moons spend some time planning their life direction. Of course, their reluctance to commit to the wrong path may keep them from chalking out a plan, but once they have a clear sense of direction they can bring out the best of themselves. The trick will be to have one, even if it’s temporary or short term. The effort of making a plan will give them greater focus, even though they will want to review things from time to time as circumstances change.

REASURRING THE SHY ROMANTIC

When it comes to relationships, the Libra Moon is a natural. In friendship, they are romantic, sensitive and generous and can often surprise their partner with the thoughtful gestures, gifts and acts of love. They live for love, and expect or hope to be with their partner much of the time. They value togetherness in purpose, spirit, and body. They have a poetic sense of love and often keep some kind of journal, which chronicles their secret feelings. In all their relationships they are inspired by a sense of balance and like to give as good as they get. When the limits of life fail to match their romantic ideals, they are prone to melancholy.

In intimate dealings you will need to be proactive with a Libra Moon, maybe more than usual. They are quite good at reading the tenor of a relationship, although their self-doubt can cause them to fear for its safety. This can make them not jealous, but suspicious, something which they do not usually express directly. It will be important for you to read between the lines and reassure them as best you can.

The best way to capture the heart of a Libra Moon is to offer like-for-like in affections and generosity. Making them your focus and reaffirming their better qualities wins them over, as long as its done genuinely, with a bit of humor and the right amount of charm. They are sensual by nature, quite tactile and like the warmth of a close embrace. Romantic settings are more thrilling for them than they will easily admit and if you want to make a good impression, then flowers and small gestures will be invaluable.

The inhibited, reluctant side to the Libra personality is reassured by open expressions of love and affection. They may tend to discount the importance of expressing their own feelings, ironically out of a misplaced deference for your feelings and maybe also out of concern that their tender advances will not be well received. They do tend to e shy when it comes to romance, but when they have established a close bond they are more confident and demonstrative.

These qualities, then, beg an open, demonstrative lover, someone who is willing to take the risk of expressing their love. A good example of this is the active, vigorous, adventurous, expressive and passionate Aries Moon. The Libra Moon finds an Aries Moon a good partner and is able to give Aries the kind of acceptance it desires, while being fed by Aries’ love of fun and upbeat nature. Other suitable signs for the Libra Moon include Capricorn and Sagittarius.

Libra Moons make loyal, long-lasting partners. They don’t give up easily and are not usually one to break off a relationship. Getting the balance right with a Libra Moon means a loving exchange with a gentle partner.

This position shows an individual who is eager to please. They want (or need) the admiration and love of others more than most people. The Moon here shows sensitivity to the needs of others and a willingness to accomodate. Because of this they need to watch out for others who may try to take advantage of them through flattery. They need to develop self reliance and learn to say no when they have to. If the Moon is afflicted they may be too dependant. i've never met someone else with a libra moon.

also, i've always had a strong/peculiar connection with libra suns, an instant connection when i barely knew the person. i often have love/hate relationships with libras. anyone else notice this?

i've heard that in general, if you have a moon in a person's sun sign, you tend to have a strong connection with them/understand them well.
