Hi All,
I got this from www.horoscope-x-files.com about the moon in libra, and I'm wondering what you think of it (particularly about the potential difference between those born in the day and those in the night):
This position shows an individual who is eager to please. They want (or need) the admiration and love of others more than most people. The Moon here shows sensitivity to the needs of others and a willingness to accomodate. Because of this they need to watch out for others who may try to take advantage of them through flattery. They need to develop self reliance and learn to say no when they have to. If the Moon is afflicted they may be too dependant. They may suffer to some degree from instability in relationships because the Moon is dyadic and brings in a certain amount of unpredictability, but they are not usually taken by surprise. They prefer a harmonious home environment with beautiful surroundings.
In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness go against the cool and wet nature of the Moon. The dryness provides distinction so that there is some degree of social separation. This usually means that the individual is not as open in expressing feelings and seeking the approval of others, preferring to seem detached or more unconcerned than they are. In some cases this is because they fear disapproval or rejection or they want to keep the peace from being disturbed.
In a nocturnal chart, the cool and wet nature of the Moon is reinforced. There is more openness in the expression of feelings and greater harmony in relationships. There is usually an appropriate level of give and take, but this native needs to beware of succumbing to flattery and becoming too dependant upon others. In some cases this is reversed and the native occasionally needs to extricate him/herself from too many social obligations and entanglements.

Re: Do you think this is true?
Wed, July 6, 2005 - 12:43 AMmos def..in fact...I have to be careful because I tend to want to be in harmony with others which leads to comprimise, so I have to know where I stand and be willing to be uncomfortable to stand up for what is right for myself.. -

Re: Do you think this is true?
Thu, July 7, 2005 - 7:23 PMI identify more with the nocturnal chart; what's the definition/cutoff of being born day or night? just curious -

Re: Do you think this is true?
Fri, July 8, 2005 - 2:33 AMi don't quite know what you mean. . .
i took the above as a description of how those libra moon people born during the day (with a 'diurnal chart') can potentially differ from those born at night (with a 'nocturnal chart'). the definition/cutoff would be the time of your birth.
if you understand it differently, please let me know. i could be wrong. -

Re: Do you think this is true?
Fri, July 8, 2005 - 5:41 AMWhat I meant was, is 6 p.m considered day or night? or are you speaking literallly of daylight and after sunset? -

Re: Do you think this is true?
Fri, July 8, 2005 - 1:29 PMohhhhh. gotcha. well, i guess the sunset would be the determining factor. if you want to find out when the sun set on the day of your birth, you can go to this site:

Re: Do you think this is true?
Sat, July 9, 2005 - 4:01 PMSo there ya go... I identified more with the night profile, but I was born at 6:57pm, so I thought the sunset thing made it not true in my case. However, the navy says the sunset was actually at 6:52 that day, so we have a match after all. Interesting! (to me anyway) -

Re: Do you think this is true?
Mon, July 18, 2005 - 7:49 PMi wonder how they figured out the diurnal versus nocturnal?
the diurnal (born at 6:22 am) is dead-on. definiteyl not the nocturnal description;]
i have had to work on not SEEMING standoffish (even though i am curious and do care about what people are saying/doing around me)
i have been frustrated over and over at times where i just didnt take that step to talk/open up, so people assume im not interested, then im listening to what theyre saying, but trying not to pay attention, argh. conflict, i think librans have a lot of conflict within. hence the desire for harmony.
